Design
You beguile and intrigue, they explore and discover. And if you’ve designed it right, they remember what you’ve told them after you’re done.
It’s in knowing how to do that that you find the adventure.
Illustration
Illustration is narration with pictures. An illustration shouldn’t only retell the story it illustrates, it should enhance the story. The pictures should tell more of the story than the words can do alone.
Stories
Its the integration of writing, design, media, and everything else that makes a story work. Lose sight of that at your own peril. But, use it right, and you’re out there on the edge where only the brave dare walk.
These are samples I’ve written, designed and/or illustrated.
